Dec 15 Basketball Winners

Our senior basketball team won the Leinster Division C Plate, beating Beneavin College 41-34 in what can only be described as a nail-biting final.  They were behind by 6 or 7 points for nearly the entire game.  Only in the final quarter did the team gain its confidence.  Conor Fortune's long-range shot for three points mark the turn-around.  After that they never looked back but kept the lead to the end.  

Congratulations to the team, led by Irish international Eoghain Kiernan.  Especial thanks to their fantastic coach, Mr Peter Pálffy.
