May 14 Walton’s Music for Schools Winners 2015

Castleknock College was the winner of the Walton's Music for Schools competition at the National concert Hall last Monday the 11 of May.

There were six finalists from the many schools around the country who had entered. Castleknock College was the only boys school and the only school from county Dublin in the final.

Their song “Let Music do the Changin’” was written by the students themselves and performed by 42 students from first to sixth year.

The performance included members of the school. Orchestra, the choir and a cameo by our ballet dancer, Gearóid Solan.

The entry was put together by music teacher Fearghus Fallon assisted by Sheen Maguire, Chris Kinder, Paul Hunt & Claire Tighe.

A huge well done to all involved!
