Dec 11 College Equestrian Team

Castleknock College Showjumping team were in action on Sunday 7/12/14. The Individual competition was first where Jack Martin placed 3rd & Conor Cribbin Hayes placed 4th. Unfortunately Jordan & Cathal had one pole down.

Next was the team competition and first to jump was Jordan who had one pole down in the 2nd round. Next up was Jack who managed a good double clear round. Conor then also jumped a good double clear (this was the first time he had ridden this horse as his normal mount was lame). This meant Cathal had to jump a clear and well done to him he did! This meant the team finished on a score of zero!

Any other week this would have been good enough to win but four other teams were on zero also so a jump off was on the cards! Only two could jump so Jack & Conor went in jump off. Unfortunately both of them had one pole down! Each of the other four teams went on to do the same thing so the final result came down to time and we finished 5th.

This was a hard competition this week to win but the team is progressing really well!
