Aug 13 Class of 2014 – Record Breakers!

The class of 2014 have achieved the best Leaving Certificate results in the 179-year history of the College.

The average score was 420 points.

Of the 101 graduates 30 scored 500 or more points. Furthermore, the less academic students did really well and, as a result are looking forward to their places in third level institutions. One such student got 180 points in the Mocks but 365 in the Leaving Certificate.

Two students got the maximum 625 points, they were Zarran Butt (photographed above with Mr Murphy) and Jack Healy. Both of whom achieved seven A1's all at higher level.

There were scenes of joy as students brought the good news to their awaiting parents at the College this morning!

We would like to congratulate the class of 2014 not only for achieveing the best results in the history of the school but also for their leadership, maturity, respect and kindness in the Vincentian tradition of the school. We wish them all the best in the future.

Results like these don't happen by accident. They happen because we have at Castleknock College a cohort of teachers who are dedicated, hard working, enthusiastic and caring. We would like to congratulate them too!

These results are all the more outstanding in a school that has a non-selective, open Admission Policy.
