Nov 22 Jerome Murphy-O’Connor OP

Jerome was a biblical scholar who was born in 1963 in Cork. He was educated by the Irish Christian Brothers in Cork and also here in Castleknock College by the Vincentians.

Jerome was ordained a priest in 1960 by the University of Fribourg in Switzerland, where he also obtained a doctorite in Theology in 1962 with a thesis published under the title “Paul on Preaching”.
